In the summer of 2023, City District Orlando, an arts and culture organization in Downtown Orlando, launched its Traffic Art Box Program, inviting applications. Among 330+ applicants, I was honored to be one of the 12 artists selected for this public art initiative. Tasked with collaborating with the Downtown Arts District, I painted a traffic box situated just a block away from their art gallery in Downtown Orlando. Commencing the painting process in March 2024, I dedicated approximately 20 hours to bring the design to life. This captivating art box piece embodies themes of the past, present, and future. You can find it at the southeast corner of Church & Magnolia in Orlando, Florida.
